STUDENT TICKET DISCIPLINE POLICY

Dear Students:

We, as a faculty and staff of the Southern University Laboratory School, are proud of the students who attend our premier school. A majority of the students here are conscientious and well-behaved. To that end, it is our goal to promote a positive educational experience for all students. Therefore, we believe in giving students the freedom to make choices, but the consequences for their choices are determined by school policy. We reward good behavior with kitten notes, citizenship activities, spirit activities, no ticket drawing assemblies, student of the week and month, and self-esteem programs. The ticket program is not intended for classroom use. Each teacher has a classroom discipline plan for such usage.

Any SU Lab Employee member may complete a Discipline Ticket for any student who has committed any of the below listed infractions. The Discipline Ticket is to be completed in black or blue ink by the presenting staff member, signed by the student, and place in the mailbox of the deans. The deans and/or designee will enter data weekly for behavioral tracking and pattern determinants.

Tickets will begin and end with each week
